ROBERT PATRIK WINSTON
Producer/photographer/artist
roberts greatest passion of all is beauty and the natural environment. As a self taught fine artist, with short trainings in photography and a full training in film production, robert integrates his three disciplines to create art, as his foundation or purpose whether it is painting, photography or filmmaking. robert began studying fine art at age seven, photography at ten and film production at age 25. robert’s first solo fine art exhibition titled “bush, buddha and the book of changes“, was at butzbach art, in copenhagen denmark, attracting over a dozen ambassadors and their representatives from various countries. his second solo show titled “illuminations: revealing portraits by robert patrik winston” was at d’andrea/bieck gallery in malibu, california. robert is currently publishing a book of his works in colaboration with a malibu poet juxtaposing his fine art works over the past twenty years and the poets works over the last fifty years.
as a photographer, robert has traveled the world living on five continents by his thirtieth birthday, exploring and photographing the natural world and all the countries and cultures he experienced in his travels. robert is currently focusing on fashion, glamour and nature photography, and was most recently featured in a pbs documentary as the photographer of eco fashion designer, jeff garner of prophetik to be released in november.
as a filmmaker and producer,
robert produced with executive producer monica getz “breaking the circle of fear,” robert’s first documentary about domestic violence and abuse in america towards women, in collaboration with the national coalition for family justice and the rockefeller foundation. robert’s second documentary touched upon similar topics of human rights when he produced, directed, filmed and edited “the silenced majority,” stories of uprising, occupations, resistance and hope, a full length feature documentary for PBS with journalist and author, amy goodman, producer of democracy now! broadcasting from lincoln center.
robert is currently producing “one journey” with lovetuner 528hz, the documentary about the power of love with deepak chopra and other luminaries in the current consciousness movement. the film is slated to be released next year. robert is also currently producing (location) blue surf, green city, a human rights and environmental hybrid documentary slated to travel around the world to every major city on the planet with the intention of bringing solutions to our global health and environmental crisis.
robert is also founder and producer at new atlantis pictures, his most recent production company founded in 2017 in malibu, california. new atlantis pictures produces feature narratives and documentaries, with several productions in development.
robert lives in malibu, california with his wife, mona therese winston who is a yoga teacher, reiki master healer, meditation instructor and holistic counselor.
